Description
Mongo’s wispy leaves and general appearance scream sativa, and yet its effects and smell utter a much more casual indica tone. Mongo’s high myrcene content no doubt contributes to its sleepy effects, but Mongo doesn’t seem to play only on one side as it starts off with effects similar to a sativa and ends on an indica note.
A strain that goes straight to the brain upon consumption, the beautiful and tightly-bound clusters are reminiscent of a Van Gogh bush with their wavy appendages and medley of colors. You may feel like you’re in a painting after smoking as well, as the accompanying head rush and slight tingling sensation dances around the forehead and the back of the skull. Like all prized hybrids, Mongo is one that starts energetic and ends with a body and mind lethargy conducive to good sleep.
What’s in your bud?
Genetics
Unknown
Appearance
These buds are dense and tightly packed, wrapped up nicely with long, wispy light green leaves.
Smell
A piney smell dominates with hints of mangoes and hops. Definitely smells like an IPA you’d get at the pub.
Taste
We put this in almost all our flower descriptions, but if you’re looking for taste then you need to vaporize, not combust. Vaporizing Mongo will release more of the citrus flavors; otherwise, sweet grass and hay dominate.
Effects
Mongo starts out strong with a headrush and a slight tingling sensation that permeates around the skull, similar to strains such as Headband. Euphoria takes over soon after and much like our other 2020 crop such as Cherry Blossom Untrimmed, novice users should beware because Mongo is STRONG.
Thankfully, that strength manifests into a nice and sleepy lethargy as it wears off, making Mongo a perfect option a few hours before bed. She’ll give you enough energy to get some things done and then tuck you into bed right after.
