CBD For Life Rub Lemongrass Review

0

When your skin needs a little bit of TLC or your muscles need a lot of relief, where do you turn? If you didn’t say, “a CBD topical” then you’re missing out on some good stuff. Especially, this lemongrass scented rub by CBD For Life.

It has an outstanding formula that goes to work to give your body and skin the attention it deserves and the relaxation it craves.

And I just happened to be lucky enough to try it out for myself. Now, I’m writing this review, to share my experience with you. I’ll talk about the rub’s smell, texture, how it worked for me, and lots more.

To start off, here’s a little bit of information on the company that makes this product.

Who is CBD For Life?

Founded by sisters Beth and Julie, CBD For Life started from the need to relieve Beth of her chronic back pain caused by her scoliosis. After working with a chemist and sourcing high quality hemp from farmers in Colorado, the first product was born. It was the Original Rub.

Although the company got its start with topicals, it continues to specialize in other skincare products, like face and foot creams, rubs, a roll-on, bath bombs, and more. But, it also sells tinctures and an oral spray.

All its products get infused with pure CBD isolate, which means the hemp extract is free of THC and all other plant compounds. Also, they all undergo lab testing by an independent third-party laboratory.

CBD For Life Rub: product specifications

  • 120mg CBD isolate in each jar
  • 1 oz (net weight) jar with a twist-off lid
  • Lemongrass scent
  • Contains a number of essential oils
  • 95% naturally derived
  • 0% THC
  • No GMOs, no parabens, no phthalates, no formaldehyde, and no artificial colors
  • Never tested on animals
  • Hemp sourced from Colorado farms
  • 3rd party lab-tested for potency, heavy metals, microbial contaminants, pesticides, and residual solvents
  • Ingredients: cannabinoid extract, cannabis sativa seed oil, beeswax, camphor, cajuput oil, lemongrass oil, menthol, lanolin, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, and clove oil

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

This product comes in a black jar with white and yellow writing. The yellow lettering is in honor of the lemongrass fragrance of this rub. There are instructions for use, the full ingredient list, and a QR code to access lab testing results.

Also, the labeling lets you know this product doesn’t get tested on animals and also tells you which common, yet harmful topical ingredients, are not in the formula. There are no parabens, artificial colors, GMOs, phthalates, or formaldehyde.

The first impressions were great and I couldn’t wait to twist off the lid and see what the smell and texture were like.

Smell & Texture

Wow, there’s no doubt this product has lemongrass oil in it! As I opened the jar, I put my nose close to the rub, and dang. The strong scent nearly punched me in the face. I happen to love the smell of lemongrass, but it’s more than just loving this smell. You’ll need to be okay with the sheer strength of its aroma.

I think the menthol in the formula might play a part in increasing the potency of the smell. But anyway, I still liked it, but know it won’t be for everyone.

As for the texture, it couldn’t get any smoother or softer. Hemp seed oil and beeswax are the primary ingredients, which explains this perfect texture. It also rubs on very easily. Now it makes sense why CBD For Life calls it a rub!

Testing process and experience

When this product arrived in the mail, I wasn’t experiencing any pain in my body (at least yet). But I did have a bruise on my leg, so I rubbed some on to see if it would get lighter or go away faster. After a few days of use, I did notice the bruise healing faster than usual. Also, I loved the feeling this rub gave my skin. I could almost feel it working from the inside out, it was that good.

I was trying to think of another way to use the rub, so I put some on the tops of my hands since they were dry. Lots of handwashing and dry weather tend to do that to me. But, this was at night about 30 minutes before going to bed. I might have put too much on because the smell was so strong it was hard to fall asleep. And the way I lay in bed, I usually have one or both hands near my face. Not ideal, but again, I might have overdone it with the quantity a bit. On the brighter side, I did wake up to moisturized hands.

Ok, so here comes the good part, or at least it might catch your attention more. About a week after receiving this product, I felt a pain in my lower back one evening. It seemingly came out of nowhere. Immediately, my brain needed to understand why this was happening. Well, I sit a lot and sometimes on the floor while typing my days away. And then I thought about the gym workout I had earlier. Doing kettlebell swings after not being in the gym for a hot minute, probably wasn’t the best idea.

The twinge in my lower back was getting a little worse, as I prepared for bed that night. Sadly, I had a gut feeling it would stick around for a bit. Unless the CBD For Life Rub worked! Low and behold after one night of applying the rub to my lower back, I was able to fall asleep for one. And two, I woke up without any pain. Miracle! For some reason, I still get surprised when CBD products work. Not sure why, but my confidence in them is stronger than ever now.

Final verdict: silky smooth texture, awesome ingredients, & potent fragrance

Best. Product. Ever. Well, one of the best out of the dozen or so CBD topicals I’ve tried to date. The texture hits it out of the park, the effects are effective as all heck, and I couldn’t be happier with the selection of ingredients. And grateful for the exclusion of crappy ingredients.

Lastly, I enjoyed the strong lemongrass flavor, it was on point and true to life. Thankful that a little bit goes far, so I can hang onto this product for a while.

It’s time to treat yourself to this amazing product! Use coupon code YOGA to get this rub at a discount!

Lazarus Naturals 50mg Full Spectrum CBD Softgels Review

Many users like to dose with full spectrum CBD because it contains all of hemp’s terpenes and cannabinoids, including trace amounts of THC. The upside to this is the benefit of the entourage effect, which enhances the therapeutic potential of cannabidiol.

The downside is that even though the amount of THC is less than 0.3%, there’s a tiny chance that dosing may result in a positive drug test. So, choosing full spectrum CBD products is an individual choice. Users of these hemp-based softgels, however, will get a potent bounty of cannabinoids and terpenes.

Who is Lazarus Naturals?

Lazarus Naturals has its own organic hemp farm in Central Oregon. That’s where they grow their source hemp. They insist on using efficient and sustainable practices. The company also has membership in the U.S. Hemp Farmers Alliance, showing its commitment to the best standards and practices for farming.

Everything produced by Lazarus Naturals is third party tested. Results get published online so that consumers can be confident in their products. Overall, the company has a rock solid reputation for offering a variety of high quality products at insanely affordable prices.

They sell skin creams, oil tinctures, isolates, pet treats, capsules, and massage oils. And, of course, softgels.

Lazarus Naturals 50mg Full Spectrum CBD Softgels: Product Specifications

  • Product size: 10 softgels; the company also makes 40 and 200 count bottles
  • Potency: 50mg of full spectrum CBD each for 500mg total
  • Contains 75mg Full Spectrum Hemp Extract
  • Effects: Relaxation and relief of physical discomfort
  • Ingredients: Organic flaxseed oil, organic coconut MCT oil, full spectrum hemp extract, d-Limonene, myrcene, caryophyllene beta natural, vegetable softgel (starch, carrageenan, purified water, glycerin), CBD isolate, tocobiol SF
  • Non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and free of artificial flavors
  • 3rd party labs test every batch. They ensure there are no pesticides, microbial contaminants, mycotoxins, or heavy metals.
  • Made with USA grown hemp
  • Cautions: Users may experience sleepiness. Don’t drive or operate machinery after dosing. Before dosing, consult a doctor or medical provider.

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

These softgels come in a clear plastic bottle with a screw-on cap. It’s small, resealable, and very portable.

You can easily see the golden gels inside. And you can see how many there are. There’s no question what the user is getting because it’s very visible.

There’s one pink label that wraps around the bottle. On that is a bunch of information about the product.

Starting on the leftmost side of the sticker is the brand name and logo near the top. Just below that it declares that the contents are ‘full spectrum CBD softgels’. Then beside it notes that there is ‘500mg of total CBD’.

In the line below indicates a quantity of 10 gels. There’s even a little illustration of one. Then there’s a statement that the potency is ’50mg of CBD per softgel’. It also states the product is ‘pesticide-free, vegan and non-GMO’.

The middle of the sticker has supplement facts. It notes that a serving size is one gel and that there are 10 in this particular container. Then it affirms that there is 75mg of hemp extract per dose and 50mg of that is CBD.

Next is the list of ingredients. Organic flaxseed oil and organic coconut MCT oil are the first two ingredients. These help the fat-soluble nature of hemp digest and assimilate into the body. And then there’s the full spectrum hemp extract. There’s also d-Limonene and Myrcene. Those are terpenes that enhance the effects. The caryophyllene beta natural is an essential oil component.

Then there are the ingredients of the gel in the softgel itself. Those are starch, carrageenan, purified water and glycerin. Pretty simple stuff. Towards the end it notes CBD isolate. Lastly there is , tocobiol SF. That’s an antioxidant made from sunflower oil.

After the ingredients is an allergy warning that the product contains tree nuts. In this case the nut is coconut.

The info on the right side of the pink sticker starts out with suggested use directions. It notes that CBD effects can vary from person to person. It recommends a first dose of one softgel to gauge how it affects the user. Then it says to wait two hours before attempting another gel.

Below are some warnings. The initial one is the advice to consult a doctor before use. Then it says to discontinue use if there are any adverse reactions. The last precaution is against using the product if there’s a broken paper tamper seal.

Underneath the warnings is a direction to store the bottle in a dark, cool location. That keeps the gels from melting and retains freshness.

There’s a QR-Code at the bottom. Scanning that with a smartphone launches the company website. There, consumers can find the 3rd party testing data.

That’s a lot of valuable info about this merchandise.

Smell & Taste

These softgels have no real taste. Basically, you just pop one in your mouth and swallow with a sip of water.

Neither do they have much of a hemp smell?

These are more about their benefit than any aroma or flavor appeal.

Testing process & experience

Digesting these softgels takes between half an hour to an hour. Then users can begin to feel relief. Vaping or using sublingual drops are faster dosing methods. Yet oral consumption tends to have longer-lasting effects.

I took one gel and waited. Within an hour the pain from my arthritic back started to ease. I also experienced a sense of relaxation and calm.

Many people can get really effective pain relief from hemp capsules or softgels.

The nice thing about gels is that you don’t get an aftertaste if you burp. Sometimes with capsules, that can be an issue. If you’ve eaten recently, sometimes there’s a nasty taste that gets belched back up. There’s nothing like that with this product.

From my experience, the benefits of my initial dose lasted a couple of hours. Once the effects wear off, you can always take another if you feel you need further relief.

There’s no guidance about how much to dose on a daily basis. But, in my opinion, 2 to 3 softgels in a 24 hour period seems like a reasonable amount. Those who are unsure of how much to use should definitely consult their health care practitioner.

Final Verdict

Dosing CBD with softgels isn’t the fastest method of use, but it is effective. The trade off is long lasting relief. For those with pain or anxiety, dosing with CBD from hemp can dial down discomfort or unease. There’s no nasty taste or odor. In fact, there are none of those things at all. These are easy to use as supplements. And there’s plenty of information on the package to give the user a solid idea of what they are getting.

There’s no flash, but good effects are what this product is all about. I felt better after about half an hour. And that ease of pain and stress lasted a good 2 hours or more. Results can vary, but I think any hemp connoisseur would want to try this product.
Lazarus Naturals has a reputation for its variety of hemp based CBD merchandise. These softgels are easy to use and provide potent effects. I recommend trying them and experiencing their effects personally.

Dr.Ganja CBG Flower Review

Users on this website have some idea of what Dr. Ganja is all about. For one, the company offers a wide variety of hemp-derived products at great prices. They also provide pure and potent, lab-tested products to consumers.

Even more, Dr.Ganja markets its own line of hemp flower. Most of the flower contains high CBD content, but this particular hemp flower has a high concentration of CBG.

Why CBG?

Although CBG is a cannabinoid found in hemp, just like CBD, it’s not as well known. It’s not as studied as CBD or THC, because it appears in smaller concentrations than these two cannabinoids. But there are some intriguing scientific insights regarding its beneficial nature.

This promising compound appears in greater amounts during their early stages of hemp’s growth. As hemp plants mature, the amount of this minor cannabinoid tends to decrease. Thus, producers harvest CBG from very young hemp.

So, what does CBG do for users? It works on the same receptors as CBD. In fact it tends to break down into other, more familiar substances like CBD. Based on scientific studies, users have experienced relief of irritable bowel disease symptoms and glaucoma. There are also reports showing its potential to display antibacterial properties and cancer-fighting properties.

So, there are good reasons to try CBG and experience the effects personally.

Who is Dr. Ganja?

This online CBD marketplace has been around since 2017 and was launched to provide high-quality, affordable hemp-derived CBD products to all. The website features various products that are legal in the United States and other countries around the world. By U.S. federal law, these types of products must have less than 0.3% THC, and so they do.

Also, this website offers a variety of products meant to suit the needs, preferences, and dosage requirements of every customer out there. And now, Dr.Ganja carries its own hemp flower. While the main focus is currently on CBD hemp strains, this batch is CBG flower.

DR. Ganja CBG Flower: Product Specifications

    • trans-Nerolidol .02%

    • Total Measured Terpenes .43%
  • Third-party labs test every batch. They ensure there are no pesticides, microbials, mycotoxins, or heavy metals.
  • Made with USA grown hemp
  • Cautions: Users may experience sleepiness. Don’t drive or operate machinery after dosing. Before you dose, consult a doctor or medical provider.

Appearance, Labeling & First Impressions

Flower tends to come in resealable packets, as does this hemp bud. A zipper or press-and-seal bag helps keep the contents inside fresh until the very end.

When opening the mail package, I found the flower sleeve nestled inside an outer plastic container. Opening that, I extracted the envelope containing the actual product.

The inner packaging has a clear plastic window on the front so that you can see the buds inside. Across the front is a blue rectangle with the site logo. Below the Dr.Ganja name is ‘CBG Flower’ – immediately identifying the contents. And underneath that is a statement that the nuggets are ‘nurtured and grown in the USA’. There’s also a declaration that states there’s ‘0.3% delta-9 THC or less’.

Flipping it over, I examined the backside of the envelope. There are two white rectangles there with a good deal of information. The first asks ‘What is in your bud?’. What follows is the stain information and a percentage breakdown of cannabinoids. It also reiterates that there’s no significant delta-9 THC. The total cannabinoids land around 15% and the terpenes make up about 3% of the flower.

In addition, there’s a QR-code that takes users to in-depth third-party testing info. There’s also a web address where you can find the same data. A small square box states the volume of the package.

The bag also mentioned that the hemp is grown in the USA without any pesticides. It notes that users can vape, smoke or extract the nugs into oil.

There’s another note that says the hemp is in accordance with the American Farm Bill. and that it’s not intended to ‘diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease’. The next paragraph indicates that the FDA hasn’t evaluated product health claims.

Smell and Taste

Opening the package, I immediately noticed a plant-like aroma. It was a bit like freshly mowed grass. It’s not an overpowering or strong odor.

Tasting just a piece of the bud, it was a subtle flavor like celery. This hemp isn’t as skunky or fragrant as some others.

It was time to grind some up and pack a bowl. It was pretty easy to twist up in the grinder, not very sticky. I ground up enough for a couple of doses and put a little in my pipe.

After lighting it up, I noticed a very faint leafy smell. That was about it. Subtlety seems to be what this strain variety is all about.

The taste was similarly mild. It wasn’t unpleasant. Neither was it overwhelming. The White strain has a reputation for mild flavor and fragrance.

Where this hemp shines is in its effects.

Testing Process and Experience

After my initial few puffs, it took mere minutes to experience relief. I experienced mental and physical relaxation. This variety of hemp felt like a soothing Indica.

I have some osteoarthritis and dosing with this herb really dialed down my pain. There are a number of stressors in my life at the moment too, thus it also reduced my anxiety.

I found it to be a good strain for nighttime. It will likely make you sleepy. I tried some before bed and slept very well through the night.

What I would not recommend is using some early in the day. Nor would I dose throughout the day unless you are planning on some downtime. It’s a very relaxing smoke. Driving after puffing would be unwise and isn’t recommended after using any type of flower.

But if you are aware of the tranquilizing effects and use common sense, it is a good remedy. It can definitely help with pain, stress and sleeplessness. Of course, you should try a little yourself. Just go slow at first until you see how it affects you personally. Then use as needed.

Final Verdict

This CBG flower isn’t flashy. But if you have pain or are experiencing stress, it can be helpful. There isn’t much in terms of taste or smell. The effects are really where it stands out. It’s a great late night smoke if you want to get some good sleep. During the day, it may make you drowsy. It will also take a bite out of pain and anxiety. Indica’s have a reputation for relaxation and relief for stress and discomfort. This promotes those things very well. Try some and see how much the bud may benefit you.

Medterra CBD Pet Calming Chews Review

1

If you have a pet, then you’ve experienced the unconditional love they often give. So, when it comes to keeping them healthy or helping them heal from injury or anxiousness, it’s essential to find something safe, natural, and that actually works.

That’s exactly what I wanted to discover when testing out Medterra’s CBD Pet Calming Chews on my 9-year old American Bulldog, Layla. From the ingredient list, I could already tell they were natural. And from scientific studies and giving Layla CBD for over a year now, I know CBD is a safe option. But, I specifically wanted to know if they would help, and if so, in what way?

With that said, let’s go ahead and dive into the details about these pet chews, the testing experience, and provide a little background on this company.

Who is Medterra?

Based in Irvine, California, Medterra has been part of the CBD industry since 2017. It sources non-GMO, organically grown hemp from licensed Kentucky farmers. And it uses CBD isolate, which has 0% THC, in all its products.

In the words of its founder, Medterra “revolves around three key concepts: Caring for Others, Continual Innovation, and CBD for All.”

Also, the company is known for creating wellness formulas that include many other medicinal herbs and health-enhancing properties. In addition, the company prides itself on safety and transparency. As such, you’ll find copies of COAs (Certificates of Analysis) on its website next to each one of its products. The COA shows the results of testing done by third-party labs.

There are tests on the cannabinoid profile to verify the amount of CBD in mg, and also to prove there are non-detectable traces of THC. Even more, the labs check for heavy metals, solvents, microbial contaminants, and pesticides.

Medterra CBD Pet Calming Chews: product specifications

  • Contains 300mg of CBD isolate with 0% THC
  • 30 soft pet chews per bag
  • 10mg of CBD per chew
  • Bacon-flavored
  • Grain-free
  • Made from non-GMO USA grown hemp
  • Includes botanical ingredients known for their calming, relaxing, and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Ingredients: chickpea flour, potato flour, cane molasses, tapioca starch, water, glycerin, hemp seed powder, natural bacon flavor, lecithin, organic chamomile, valerian root, safflower oil, organic passionflower, organic ginger root, l-tryptophan, l-theanine, cannabidiol (CBD), ascorbic acid, sorbic acid, calcium propionate, vitamin E

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

The branding on this bag of CBD treats is really great, starting with the picture of the dog and cat on the bag. This lets you know exactly who they’re for. Also, it’s clear on the front of the label what the total dose of CBD is, how many chews there are, their flavor, and also that they’re meant to promote a sense of calm.

Also, the package lets you know this product is THC-free, grain-free, non-GMO, and U.S. Hemp Authority certified.

The backside of the bag shows you the active ingredients in the chews and at what dosages. There’s also a dosing chart based on your pet’s weight, and a QR code you can scan to show you the results of third-party lab testing. When you click on the link to the lab report, you’ll be able to see the cannabinoid content to prove there’s at least 300mg CBD per bag and that there’s zero THC.

In addition, the lab reports show the test results on pesticide content, heavy metals, solvents, and microbial contaminants.

Overall, the labeling on the front and back of the package provides so much detail, which is super helpful. Especially for pet owners giving their pets CBD for the first time. But, of course, it’s helpful for all kinds of pet owners too.

I’d have to say the first impressions, not only of the labeling but of the cute little bone-shaped pet chews, were pretty close to perfect.

Flavor and smell

These pet chews have a bacon flavor, but they don’t smell a whole lot like bacon. Given the long list of ingredients, it makes sense that the bacon flavor gets a little muted. But, the “lack” of strong bacon flavor didn’t stop Layla from chewing them right up. Then again, she’s never been one to turn down food or treats of any kind!

Testing process and experience

I started off giving Layla one treat a day for a few days in a row, to make initial observations. Obviously, she can’t speak to me, so I like to take it slow when giving her a new treat, regardless of whether it contains CBD or not.
Since she likes to inhale her food and treats, I decided to break up the bone-shaped chews into 3 pieces. Also, since they are soft chews, she could easily swallow without chewing, and I wanted to avoid that from happening. (This picture shows the whole treat before I broke it up into pieces).

I didn’t notice anything right away per se, but Layla has been dosing with cannabis for over a year now consistently. So, after a few days, I increased the serving to 2 treats daily. One in the afternoon and one at night. Then some nights I gave her 2 of them about an hour before bed. I did notice that the next morning she would wake up easier and have better mobility.

Again, she’s an older big dog and doesn’t move like she used to. So, seeing that improvement and figuring out the best dose (2 treats at once before bed), was really great. Although we’re only through half the bag, I’ll most definitely finish them off and I know Layla is looking forward to them and to feeling more agile and calm overall.

Final verdict: Soft, chewy, fully lab-tested pet treats with a stellar formula

Medterra has established itself as a reputable, trusted brand in the CBD industry, and because of that, I felt confident giving these pet chews to my best friend, Layla. They offer the perfect potency for my girl who weighs about 65 pounds. Each treat consisting of 10mg CBD meant I could give her 1 to 2 a day. Other treats with a smaller potency would require me to give her 3 to 4, or more.

Also, I love when products include other botanical ingredients, in this case, the chews had chamomile flower, passionflower, and valerian root. I’ve taken all these myself, either as capsules or teas, and they’re absolutely calming. So, that’s a huge bonus. CBD is great alone, but when it has some assistance, it can be even more beneficial.

In short, this was a great product all the way around. From the potency and the ingredient list, to the full panel of lab testing, and the soft chewy texture. A win-win.

3Chi Pineapple Express Delta 8 Vape Cartridge Review

Who is 3Chi?

Chi is the Chinese word for life force. That’s the genesis of the name of 3Chi, the company. The inspiration for this name came from the beneficial nature of hemp and physical and mental well-being. The founder used his biochemistry background and 15 years of product formulation experience to forge a CBD company committed to innovation. 3Chi makes and markets a number of CBD products as well as other cannabinoid products. Part of its arsenal includes delta-8 THC products.

The company makes most of its own extracts in-house, while others come from well-known Arizona labs. Third-party labs test and verify the safety and purity of everything 3Chi makes, showing their unwavering commitment to quality. They’re all about offering customers the best possible merchandise.

3Chi Pineapple Express Delta 8 Vape Cartridge: Product Specifications

  • Made With: USA-grown industrial hemp
  • Ingredients: Hemp derived oil and Pineapple Express terpenes
  • No cutting agents or plastic materials
  • Caution: This product could cause positive drug screening. Although Delta 8 THC is federally legal, each state has its own laws. Some states do not permit the use of cannabinoids at this time since THC is psychotropic. You shouldn’t drive after vaping with this product. They recommend consulting your doctor before use.
  • Suggested Use: This cartridge works with any 510-thread battery. Screw on the cart, and press the power button. Then inhale once or twice from the mouthpiece. Within minutes the effects will kick in. After you determine how the delta-8 THC affects you, consume as desired.
  • Contains: less than 0.3% delta-9 THC

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

The product comes in a plastic sleeve. That’s pretty typical for a vape cart. A blister on the left side of the packaging houses the cart. And there’s a two-sided cardboard insert behind the cartridge.

The cover art of the insert features a pineapple with sunglasses and a smile. That’s a cute way of emphasizing that it has Pineapple Express specific terpenes. And the lettering on the front states that. It also prominently features the 3 Chi brand name. It notes that this is a delta-8 THC product. The final piece of information is the volume of 1 ml.

On the backside of the insert, there’s a lot of information. The first thing at the very top is the strain name. It also notes Pineapple Express’s Sativa lineage.

Next, there is some text about the contents of the cartridge. The insert states that it has 95% delta-8 THC oil and 5% terpenes. So there’s no mystery about what’s in the vape cart.

Also, there’s a QR-code that you can scan with a smartphone. A link will appear that takes you to the company’s website. There, consumers can scrutinize the 3rd party testing information.

Just below that is a list of ingredients. It’s pretty simple — hemp extract and terpenes. That’s all.

In addition, there are the directions for use and they’re very thorough. It tells users to remove the silicone covers from the cart. Then screw it onto the 510 threaded battery base. Don’t overtighten. The packaging recommends taking one puff and waiting 20 minutes. After that, it says you can dose more if wanted. Typical doses are 1-2 puffs.

There are also some precautions noted. One says, don’t operate machinery while using the product or while pregnant. The text reminds consumers that they have to be of legal age to use these products. In most places that age is 21. There is a warning that using the cart may result in a positive drug test.

Below the warning section is a statement about the contents. The oil in the cartridge is 100% hemp-derived. It contains less than 0.3% delta-9 THC. And then there’s the batch number and expiration date.

It then identifies 3Chi as the manufacturer. Below that is the company web address and social media links. And the very last thing is a product bar code.

Smell and taste

There’s definitely a strong pineapple taste with each and every puff of this cart. Some products have a plain hemp taste. It’s not bad, just plantlike. And others are quite flavorful. This hemp oil is like that.

And it smells sweet and fruity. It leaves a pleasant fragrance hanging in the air. It’s not skunky or weedy. It’s identifiably pineapple.

And it’s fairly smooth. There’s some coughing, but not as bad as some other carts. Some are quite harsh. This cart isn’t like that.

Testing process and experience

The nice thing about vaping is that after puffing, relief comes within minutes. Mentally and physically this Sativa can make a user feel more energized. Dosing can reduce pain, lethargy, and depression. That was certainly my own experience.

Carts are easy to use over and over and over. There are dozens of doses in each 1ml cartridge. How long it lasts depends on how often you use it. But it only takes 1 or two puffs at a time to get effects that last. The initial high is brief, but the benefits can last for hours. Again that’s how this product worked for me.

Portability is also a benefit of vaping. You can take it with you. There are concerns and warning against driving under the influence of hemp products. That includes stimulating ones.

I find Sativa’s better for morning or early afternoon because of their stimulation. They can be akin to strong coffee or energy drinks. The only downside might be some jitteriness. I would recommend against dosing when also drinking coffee or energy drinks. That could be too much.

Final Verdict

A Sativa cart will stimulate and this one does that. I felt buzzed briefly but had energy for several hours. I felt there was also some pain relief. Individual user experiences can vary. That’s true with any products that affect you mentally or physically. Thus. I suggest going slow. Try a little at first – one or two puffs. Give yourself some time to assess how it seems to be affecting you before taking a 2nd dose. After that, you can vape as needed or desired.

I like to keep a cart handy for quick and convenient dosing. They’re so easy to use with a standard 510-threaded vape pen. A push of a button, a quick puff or two and you’re good to go. The brief buzz is nice, but the longer-lasting benefits are even better.

  • Primary terpenes include β-Caryophyllene, α-Bisabolol, and Guaiol
  • Flower gets packed in airtight mylar bags that are re-sealable
  • Available in 2 gram, 3.5 grams, 7 grams, 14 grams, and 1-ounce weight increments

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

The CBG buds come in an airtight bag and the big label on the front lets you know it’s CBG flower from Dr. Ganja. It’s clear as day, which I appreciate from any product. The front label also tells you this hemp flower was grown in the USA and contains less than 0.3% THC.

When you flip the bag over, you get even more details. It shows the percentage of CBGa (which turns into CBG upon heat/combustion), the percentage of CBG and terpenes. It also has a QR code that you can scan with your phone, which takes you to the lab report page on Dr.Ganja’s website. From there, you search for the CBG flower and scan the lab results.

As for the appearance of the buds, I could tell they were hand-trimmed with a lot of care. As the name of the strain suggests (The White), these buds were adorned in crystals, and the blondish-orange hairs and light green leaves brighten them up even more.

Aroma & Taste

The smell upon opening the bag was a delight for my nostrils. It has a fresh floral smell, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of clove. Based on the terpene profile this made total sense, especially with the amounts of caryophyllene and bisabolol present.

Sadly, I did not use a dry herb vaporizer to enjoy these beautiful nugs, I smoked them from a joint. The combustion process of lighting up the joint takes away a good amount of the flavors. However, from other reviews on this flower, it appears the flavor is subtle and fresh, with some woody notes.

Testing process and experience

Before writing this review, I smoked the CBG flower on three different occasions. Once in the late evening, and twice in the mid-afternoon. As mentioned earlier, I smoked these using a pre-rolled joint. And each time, I took around 6 to 8 hits. Each one was very smooth. I took a few really big pulls just to test the “smoothness factor” and each time the draw was nice. No harshness or cough. That was a welcomed treat.

As for the effects, they didn’t make me feel sleepy, just really relaxed. My level of alertness also increased. When I smoked this right before bed, I thought it would make me super tired. After all, it was my bedtime and I was already feeling drained from the day.

But instead of giving me the sedation I’ve felt with certain CBD strains, my eyes became clear and focused. Not in a caffeinated type of way though. I felt very present and aware. It was a nice feeling without being extreme. I would describe the sensations in my body the same way. A gentle, welcomed relaxation compared to a deep, knock me out relaxation.

I gotta say, I’m a fan and can definitely notice the difference between CBG and CBD strains. They’re unique from each other, but have lots of benefits.

Final verdict: Aromatic & smooth smoke that offers pure relaxation

This hemp flower reminds me why I enjoy smoking. That tantalizing smell upon opening the bag, the ease, and smoothness of taking a hit. And most of all, the fast-acting effects that put your mind at ease and restore harmony in your body.

Basically, Dr.Ganja’s CBG Hemp Flower has all the good stuff that makes you appreciate the hell out of plant medicine.

3Chi Delta 8 THC Gelato Vape Cartridge 1ml Review

0

The glorious plant properties of Delta 8 THC and Gelato specific terpenes merge as one in 3Chi’s vape cartridge. It’s a tasty way to enjoy this hemp cannabinoid in a vaping format, and if that’s what you’re looking for, then you’ll want to check out this review.

I’ll be sharing my first-hand experience using 3Chi’s Delta 8 Gelato Vape Cartridge. You’ll learn about important product features like the aroma, vapor flavors, ingredient list, body and mind effects, and more. Let’s kick this review off by talking about the company that makes this vape cart.

Who is 3Chi?

A biochemist with 15 years in his field founded 3Chi to formulate premium hemp-derived products. He experienced many benefits by supplementing with hemp extracts so he decided to create a business and share the potential of the plant with others.

As for the name 3Chi, there’s a cool story behind it. Chi or “qi” comes from the traditions of Chinese Medicine and means “life force energy.” And “3” represent the trinity of humans — mind, body, spirit. The full name and brand represent the whole (holistic) body. Without the knowledge and understanding that we are 3 components, complete health is not possible.

Furthermore, the company makes more than just Delta 8 products, its products feature other cannabinoids like CBD, CBN, CBC, and others.

Another interesting fact about the company is that they partner with PhD-level scientists to create and perfect formulas. And finally, 3Chi pays independent third-party labs to test its products for potency and quality.

In addition to making Delta 8 vape cartridges, the company also sells tinctures, distillate syringes, gummies, and more.

3Chi Delta 8 THC Gelato Vape Cartridge: product specifications

  • 1000mg of hemp extract
  • Approximately 900mg of hemp-derived Delta 8 THC
  • 50mg of CBN & CBC
  • Strain-specific Gelato terpenes (from botanical sources)
  • Zero cutting agents
  • Ceramic coil, ceramic mouthpiece, and CCELL glass cartridge
  • 3rd party tested for cannabinoids, terpenes, and residual solvents
  • Ingredients: hemp-derived Delta 8 THC oil and Gelato terpenes

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

The vape cartridge arrived in a little package with bright, colorful scoops of gelato on the front cover. I was instantly sold and had a strong feeling the flavors would be sweet and creamy. Also, on the front label were the words, “1ml, terpene infused, no cutting agents, 100% hemp-derived, and USA made.”

Even more, both the mouthpiece and bottom of the cart had a soft plastic covering to protect the areas from damage or possible contamination. Overall, the company did a great job on the marketing and labeling of this product and had me eager to get my vape on.

Taste & aroma

Just as I hoped, and somewhat expected, the taste and aromas were on point. When I took my first few hits, an apparent sweetness hit my lips with a bit of tang, which I definitely enjoyed. The aroma that filled my room was nice too, and very similar to the flavors I was experiencing.

I was glad the sweet notes weren’t over the top or synthetic tasting, which is the advantage of a terpene-infused vape cart compared to one with artificial flavors.

All in all, if you like gelato, ice cream, or anything sweet, I would definitely recommend this product based on flavor alone.

Testing process and experience

Before writing this review, I vaped with this cart for a little over a week to see if I noticed any consistencies. As usual, I tend to vape in the mid-afternoon and evenings, the times when I most need to chill out and relax.

Also, this was my first time vaping Delta 8 THC. Although I had tried 3Chi’s Delta 8 Comfortably Numb tincture and loved that. You can read my review on it here.

So, anyway, the effects I got when vaping this cartridge were great. They weren’t as strong as I thought, but sometimes subtle is better. For me, that’s what I actually prefer. But I only took 2 to 3 hits at a time. Had I taken a 4th or 5th hit, I might have experienced stronger effects.

Each day I vaped with this product, I felt the same way. Relaxed, chilled out, and more focused. For me, it felt a little more like CBD than Delta 8, but again I’m sure that would have been different with a few extra puffs. The times I’ve had Delta 8 in the past I got more of that uplift and slight paranoia that can come with THC. So, I chose to go easy with this one.

Lastly, I refuse to vape a product that has cutting agents or any additives/flavorings. So I truly appreciate that 3Chi did this cart right, and left that out of the formula.

Final verdict: Lights up your taste buds & brings you peace

As mentioned earlier, the flavors of this product are top-notch. They come from real ingredients (i.e. plant terpenes) and not something manufactured in a lab. Half the reason vaping rocks is because of the yummy flavors and divine aromas you get to experience. And 3Chi’s product did not disappoint on these fronts.

Also, the combination of Delta 8, CBC, and CBN helped me feel relaxed and at peace. Any worries I had melted away and I could focus on my writing and be in the present moment.

Bubba Kush Smalls Review – From Package to Puff

0

With the now public acceptance and widespread use of cannabidiol (CBD) in its various forms, there aren’t many mediums CBD has not made its way into for consumption. I’m personally all for it though, as it’s cool to see things like a CBD beer at my local brewery and CBD skin treatments in stores. And while many are now accustomed to these hotly advertised CBD everythings, from oils and lotions to sleeping aids, we’ve received a lot of questions about our “smalls” option on CBD flower. Questions like: Are smalls from the same plant as the non-smalls option? Are smalls lesser grade hemp? Why are they so cheap?

Here, I plan to walk you through step-by-step, from package to puff, what smalls are, how you use them, why you should use them, all the while reviewing one of my favorite smalls strain on the site, Bubba Kush Smalls, because who doesn’t need a reason to take a load off during a pandemic?

What are CBD smalls?

As the name might suggest, CBD flower smalls are simply smaller nugs that have become separated from the plant during the trimming or curing process. Some may have heard word that smalls are low-grade weed and they assume hemp flower will be the same. Some others may have heard that size=potency and then assume smalls may not pack the same heat as regular-sized hemp flower. While it is true that traditionally smalls came from the insides or bottom of the plant (leading to reduced terpene and cannabinoid content from to lack of light) most of the smalls are not from such places, but rather from breaking off bigger buds and top colas. At least, the smalls carried at Dr.Ganja are not and in fact, we have the testing to back that statement up.

Take for example, our original Bubba Kush flower, which comes in at around 17.8% CBDA, and then take a gander at our smalls option, which is well-endowed with its 20.5% CBDA! Not only are the smalls option NOT sacrificing potency for their smaller size, but they’re a heck of a lot cheaper, too. Smalls options come in 1 oz. packages at less than ½ the price of a similarly weighted “normal” hemp flower option. This reduced price makes them ideal for those looking to stock up on their favorite strains and to also even take a stab at making their own edibles and extracts (which I personally did with my smalls to really good effects).

Bubba Kush Smalls – Package and Appearance

As a nice refresher, and for those who may be hesitant to order or just see what the process is like, the Bubba Kush Smalls package arrived in a inconspicuous, double-bagged and thus double-sealed, box. Innocuous and smell-free. Each package comes with a handy QR code which you can scan with your phone and see the test results of the batch you’re holding in your hand. As a side note, if you are buying hemp flower online and they don’t test their flower or mention any testing, don’t buy from them. At this point it should be an industry standard, not only for quality purposes but your safety as well.

Opening the package and getting to the matter within, Bubba Kush smalls, as the pictures depict, are bite-sized nuggets that retain all the stickiness of the big boys. The source of that stickiness, the little hairs that cover the leaves and stem called trichomes, are the powerhouses that give hemp their cannabinoids and terpenes (there’s a reason why top-grade was called the sticky icky). Conveniently, their small stature makes them easy to break apart in a grinder and once ground up, the aroma of diesel, pine, and lemon fills the nostrils.

Bubba Kush Smalls – Effects and Experience

Many may claim to taste a diverse repertoire of flavors from hemp and marijuana, and while there are distinct flavors specific to a certain few strains, most strains that may seem they’re named for their flavor are typically named for their smell. Bubba here, makes no such claims and the taste is similar to other hemp, there are woody notes and an undertone of sweetgrass and maybe some pine. Nothing too extraordinary in the taste department, but that’s fine because it more than makes up for it when it comes to effects.

Kush strains, like our friendly Bubba, are descended way back when from the Hindu Kush mountain range and as indica-dominant plants, have provided the characteristic “stoned” feeling many users seek out. As a person who consumes all variety of plants and is no stranger to high tolerance, I was honestly surprised at the potency of these smalls considering their cannabinoid make-up. If someone had given me Bubba unawares, I honestly would not have guessed that this was CBD flower.

Consuming her in a joint, the characteristic heaviness behind the eyes and fuzzy headspace were present, as well as a slight tinge of euphoria and the sensation that whatever I choose to eat at that moment would be really, really good. One additional thing I enjoy about CBD flower is that unlike its high-THC counterpart, when the feelings begin to dissipate, there is a slight lethargy but nothing comparable to the haziness and out-of-touch feeling that comes with coming down off weed. The fact that you can order this kind of hemp online and have it shipped straight to your door is a sign of changing times. Huzzah, at least there’s one good thing about 2020.

Bubba Kush Smalls – Final Verdict

It may have been the case, as I was taught so many years ago, that smalls used to be lower-grade flower, but thankfully we have the technology now to throw such claims to bed. With cannabinoid testing, we can see how strong these little sticks of dynamite are, and at a fraction of the price. They used to get a bad rap from the ol’ weed days, but as discussed here these smalls aren’t you grandpa’s smalls that come from the underside and belly of the plant, these smalls are those that have broken free from their their larger-budded and top cola sisters, and they’re just as strong (if not at times stronger) and much cheaper. The cheaper price is simply a result of appearance, they may not look as robust and pretty, but they certainly get the job done.

Shameless plug incoming: while smalls are somewhat new here to Dr.G we already have quite the variety of smalls, from the new indica-dominant Spectrum Smalls to the classic strains everyone has come to love like Elektra Smalls. If you’re looking to save a pretty penny and still want to enjoy all the CBD goodness, we highly recommend our smalls option.

Kush Queen CBD Bath Bomb Love Review

0

Who doesn’t love a nice hot bath to end a long day at work or a busy day spent with the kiddos? You deserve some much-needed relaxation and alone time, am I right? If you’re with me so far, then you’ll want to check out this review on the Kush Queen CBD “Love” Bath Bomb.

I’ll share my experience taking a bath with this lovely product. Specifically, the review will cover “need-to-know” topics like the bath bomb’s smell, the ingredient list, the type of effects I felt, and more. Before diving into those details, here’s a little bit of info on the company that makes this bath bomb.

Who is Kush Queen?

Founder and CEO, Olivia Alexander started Kush Queen in 2016. At the age of 18, she worked as a budtender at a local dispensary. So, she’s had a close connection with cannabis for a long time. You could say it’s her calling to be an integral part of the industry and the cannabis culture in general.

As someone who suffers from bipolar, she relied on cannabis to help her manage the symptoms. But, the problem was she didn’t see a ton of options that specifically catered to wellness. That led her to create Kush Queen, a line of CBD- and THC-infused topical and health products.

Besides bath bombs, her company also sells lotion, cream, face serum, body scrubs, tinctures, chews, CBD lube, and more.

Kush Queen CBD Bath Bomb Love: product specifications

  • 100mg CBD Isolate — 0% THC
  • “Love” terpenes: organic lavender, ylang-ylang, sweet orange, bergamot, patchouli, and cedarwood essential oils
  • 3rd party lab-tested for cannabinoid potency
  • Vegan friendly and no animal testing
  • Made in the USA
  • No sulfates, phthalates, parabens, preservatives, or artificial fragrances
  • Ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, Epsom salt, olive oil, hemp extract, essential oils, and FD&C color

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

The bath bomb came in a ziplock sealed bag that was see-through, so you could easily spot the large size and bright orange color of the product. It showed the CBD potency of 100mg, listed the essential oils used to create the “love” factor, and clarified that it contained zero THC.

Also, on the back of the package, there were specific instructions on how to use the bath bomb and the other ingredients (besides the essential oils already listed on the front).

Furthermore, the labeling let you know what was not inside the product such as harmful chemicals and artificial fragrances. All in all, the package and presentation had me eager to try it out!

Smell & color

Wow! The smell was out of this world. Divine, heavenly, and pure bliss. No single essential oil dominated the smell, but the combination of them all worked like a beautiful symphony. I couldn’t get enough and after putting it in my bathwater, the smell became heightened in the most magical, enjoyable way. It didn’t overwhelm my nostrils, it was pleasant and inviting.

As for the color, that was also nice. The orange coloring changed the bathwater the same color, but the water itself was still clear. So, it didn’t feel like I was about to take a dip in a big orange pool. I appreciated that.

Testing process and experience

Since this is a single-use, one-time-only product, I’m sharing my experience after taking one bath with it.

After I started the bathwater, I waited until the tub was about 1/4 full before dropping the bath bomb inside. With the drought in California, it was hard to not feel guilty running a bath. But, I tried to put that guilt to the side, so I could enjoy the moment and fully embrace what was to come.

It took at least 10 minutes for the bomb to fully dissolve, if not longer, so something to think about. Maybe it helps to drop it into your tub sooner than I did.

As mentioned earlier, the aroma that engulfed my entire bathroom was nothing short of amazing. Once I got into the tub, it felt nice and relaxing. I stayed in there for about 20 minutes as the instructions indicated. They specifically said to soak for at least 20 minutes, so staying in longer would have been fine.

I only take baths on rare occasions when I want to try out a new bath bomb or have an Epsom salt soak. Usually, I feel great benefits during and afterward, just like I did with the Kush Queen CBD Love Bath Bomb. My lower back actually hurt before getting in, and I did notice relief once I got out. Also, my sleep was great that night.

Overall, I’d use this Love bath bomb again or try one of the other phenomenal scents

Final verdict: An all-natural (chemical-free) way to treat your body

If you love baths, then this product is for you! I can’t imagine a better, safer, cleaner, all-natural list of ingredients. This is the real deal. Especially if you care about what you put on or in your body. Toxins, chemicals, and all the artificial crap is terrible for you. It adds up. But, you don’t have to worry about that with this product.

In short, the Love Bath Bomb by Kush Queens smells fantastic, doesn’t stain your bathtub, won’t pollute the water with a bunch of harsh chemicals, and the 100mg of CBD is the icing on the cake.

Urb Delta-8 Nano-Gummies Review

As a longtime consumer, I do like me some edibles. While I enjoy smoking and vaping, edibles offer a different experience. Ingesting offers slower release than inhaling. And the relief lasts longer. Edibles are also more discreet for public use.

I have had a good deal of experience with CBD edibles. But I had never before eaten a delta-8 THC treat. In fact, I had only recently vaped some delta-8. This particular cannabinoid is still new to me. There’s a good initial feel that fades out within half-an-hour or so. The effects seemed to last comparably to regular delta-9 THC.

After vaping, it seemed like a logical next step to try an edible. Someone suggested these Urb nano-gummies. Gummies make for good edibles. What’s nice is they dissolve in your mouth pretty quickly after some chewing. That way the cannabinoid gets into your system faster.

I was unfamiliar with Urb as a company, so I thought I would take a look and see what information I could find.

Who is Urb?

The initial find of my internet research was a pleasant one. It turns out that Urb is actually part of the Lifted Made company. That is a brand that I was very familiar with. They have a solid reputation for quality CBD from hemp. Urb Finest Flowers is their division that specializes in delta-8 products. And both companies together are owned by publicly-traded Acquired Sales Corp.

I felt reassured that the nano-gummies were good stuff. They had the same commitment to quality that the parent company stands for. That’s important because you want the company that makes your edibles to be reputable. And, to care about the efficacy of products and how they can help customers.

Specializing in a particular product focuses on everything from the packaging to the manufacture. This gave me high expectations for what I was about to sample.

Next, I want to know what was in the chewy treats.

Urb Delta-8 Nano-Gummies: Product Specifications

  • Product Size: 10-piece package
  • Strength: 10mg each – a total package volume of 100mgdelta-8 THC
  • Suggested Use: Pullapart cubed gummies. Pop one in your mouth. Wait several minutes for the effects to settle in fully. After that, take as needed or desired.
  • Cautions: delta-8 has psychotropic effects, so don’t drive after taking this product. It is a good idea to consult your doctor before use.
  • Ingredients:gelatin, maltodextrin, stevia leaf extract, sugar, adipic acid (for tartness), contains less than 2% of artificial flavor, disodium phosphate and sodium citrate (control acidity), fumaric acid (for tartness), potassium sorbate (preservative aid), tannic acid, red40, 100% pure sunflower lecithin, citric acid, water, and hemp-derived delta-8 THC
  • Contains less than 0.3% delta-9.
  • 25 calories per piece

Appearance, Labeling and First Impressions

Nano-gummies come in a very small container. It’s a plastic, rectangular cube. The smaller ends are the top and bottom. And every side is covered with information.

The labeling is pink in color. That’s because the flavor is watermelon. Other varieties of the treats have different colored labels based on their flavors.

The very top label is on the lid. It merely says ‘Urb Finest Flowers’.

Then on the front, the information starts with a small box. The box has an exclamation point and a small flame. It is unclear as to what that denotes. There is the company logo again like on top. Below that it states that these are nano-gummies. Then there is a declaration that they contain delta-8 THC. It also indicates the 100mg size of the container. And it gives the flavor as watermelon. Lastly it says there are 10 pieces at 10mg each.

Another side asks, ‘why nano?’ The answer is nano-processing, which enhances absorption because nano particles diffuse into your bloodstream directly. ‘Smaller particles, bigger effects’ it says below the explanation. There is then a hemp license number and a bar code. Beside that is a batch number with expiration date. Below that is a QR-code that links to the lab testing results online.

Then there is a panel on the next side with the ingredients and nutritional information. Turns out there’s 25 calories per gummy. And all of the nutrients are basically 0%. But the reason for eating these isn’t for the vitamins and minerals. It’s for the effects.

Alongside the nutrition panel is the web address for the Lifted Made parent company.

The final side panel indicates that there’s approximately 60m activation. That refers to the length of time the effects last. At least I think so. There is also a disclaimer that the product is not evaluated by the FDA. Dosing with the contents isn’t guaranteed to diagnose, treat or cure any disease. And there is a reassurance that all Lifted Made products are federally legal.

And on the very bottom are instructions for opening the container by squeezing the sides. And then resealing it by pushing the lid back down until it clicks shut. It states the weight of the individual gummies as 2 grams or 1 dram. The container is child-resistant. And there’s a symbol noting that they made the container from recycled plastic.

And that’s it for the packaging.

I removed the silver safety tape and popped it open. I looked inside to see two groups of green gummies joined together. Removing the jiggly treats from the container, I tore them apart to eat a gummy singly.

Smell and Taste

The best part of edibles is tasting them.

Before tossing one in my mouth and chewing, I noticed that there’s really no smell to them.

So I tried one. I let it set on my tongue for a moment. There’s not a strong taste at first. But when I began chewing on the gummy, that’s when I noticed the sweet watermelon taste. There is a bit of a strong sour aftertaste. And you can detect a hint of the hemp content. There’s a bit of earthiness to them.

Cupping my hand, I detected that sweet watermelon smell on my breath. That’s good because you may not want someone to notice a weedy odor when you exhale. No worries there.

Then I sat back and waited for the effects to kick in.

Testing Process and Experience

Okay, so did I get high. Yes, briefly. It took about quarter of an hour to really start to kick in, but there was a good buzz. There was even a bit of sublingual effect before that. Some of the gummy melts in your mouth as you chew.

The psychotropic fog lasted less than an hour, but the pain relief longer. Maybe two hours of benefit per gummy. There were a couple hours of mood elevation, too.

Doubling up on the dosage increases the initial high. That said, everything faded in about the same amount of time.

There was a bit of dry mouth and dry eyes side effect, It was more noticeable with a doubled dosage. But those things are remedied with water and eyedrops, respectively.

A single dose would be best if you have to be in public interacting with people. But at home, a double dose is doable if you tolerate it. I’d start slow and work my way up. I wouldn’t recommend taking more than two at once. You could get very high and maybe disoriented by taking too many at a time.

Final Verdict

These Urb delta-8 gummies did the trick. They give a pretty good initial high and beneficial effects that can last hours. They are sweet and tangy too, very tasty! Really, my only gripe is that the print on the packaging is pretty tiny. Especially the nutritional info and list of ingredients. I was able to read it all, however, using the magnifier app on my smartphone.
I have now vaped and ingested this cannabinoid. And I still say delta-8 is pretty great! And the gummies are really good!

Rogue River Labs Delta-8 THC Cartridge Review

Vaping CBD was familiar to me. And I was curious about trying delta-8 THC. So, I decided to give Rogue River Labs Delta-8 THC Cartridge a whirl.

I had been hearing a lot about this minor cannabinoid. Seems like there were delta-8 products everywhere. I’d heard that users experience all the positive effects of regular delta-9THC but with less high. That has some appeal in situations where you need a clear head. As a writer, I have certainly found that helps.

I have osteoarthritis in my joints, so I use hemp products. CBD helps a lot, but there are times when I have a little more pain. Then I tend to use hemp. While I enjoy the psychotropic effects, they can interfere with getting work done. Thus, my interest in using a milder form of THC.

My hope was to get the stronger pain relief yet be sober enough to get work done.

I came across this cartridge from the Dr. Ganja store, and so I product-tested it. And found I really liked it!

I wasn’t familiar with Rogue River Labs brand, so I investigated online to see what I could learn.

What Did I Discover About Rogue River Labs?

The name of the company comes from the fact they reside in Rogue River, Oregon. That’s in the heart of the West Coast hemp region.

Their entire focus is delta-8 THC. That’s all that they make or market. They are big believers in this particular cannabinoid. The company promotes it as an alternative to delta-9 THC. It’s said to have the same pain-relieving and stress-releasing properties. But it has a slighter and briefer high.

The delta-8 they isolate comes from quality industrial hemp. It’s all grown and manufactured in the United States. Packages contain QR-codes that link directly to batch testing results. Transparency is important to the company. They want their customers to feel confident that they are getting safe and effective products.

Their one product line is vaporizer cartridges. Like the one I planned to try.

Rogue River Labs Delta-8 THC Cartridge: Product Specifications

  • Product Size: 1ml cartridge
  • Strength: 700mg delta-8 THC
  • Suggested Use: 1-2puffs from the mouthpiece. Wait several minutes for the effects to settle in fully. After that, take as needed or desired.
  • Cautions: delta-8 has psychotropic effects, so don’t drive after taking this product. It is a good idea to consult your doctor before use.
  • Ingredients: delta-8 THC vape oil, Twisted Citrus terpenes
  • Contains less than 0.3% delta-9. Thus, their products are federally legal. However, some state laws may prohibit sale and use of their products.
  • Pesticide and solvent free

Appearance, Labeling and First Impressions

The packaging is simplicity itself. They weren’t going for flashy. It’s a two-part plastic sleeve with a cardboard insert and the cartridge itself in the middle.

The front side of the insert has the company’s logo. It’s a blue-colored scene with a river in the foreground and mountains and pine trees behind it. Below that are the words ‘Hemp Derived Delta-8 Vape Cartridge’. Then there is the description ‘Twisted Citrus (Hybrid)’. The insert notes the volume of the cart as 1g or 0.035 ounces. Lastly a hemp leaf symbol denotes that they make the vape oil from hemp. At a glance, users can tell exactly what they have in their hands.

Flipping it over, the reverse side has an explanation of exactly what delta-8 THC is right at the top. Basically, it tells the reader that it’s a ‘minor cannabinoid similar to THC and CBD’. It also notes that the vape oil has ‘unique properties’. It combines ‘analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of CBD with those of THC’. THC, it explains, has euphoric properties. That’s the high rush that users experience when they take a puff from the cartridge. The paragraph says the active ingredient attaches to both CB-1 and CB-2 receptors. Those are integral parts of the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Below the initial paragraph is another. This one has a header asking, ‘Is it Legal’? It answers its own question with ‘yes’, and then explains further. It seems ‘recent guidance from the USDA has clarified the legality of hemp derived delta-8’. Any restrictions tend to involve delta-9 or THCa. But as noted above, there are some states that do restrict this variety of THC. That means customers might want to do some research into the specific laws where they live.

At the bottom-left of the insert’s backside is a QR-code. Then there’s the manufacturer’s name and location. Beside that is the name and location of the 3rd-party lab that does their quality testing. And at the very bottom is the email address where customers can send any questions.

So, there’s a good deal of information on the package’s cardboard insert.

The cartridge itself is pretty standard. There’s a white plastic mouthpiece. The center section is clear, showing the golden oil inside. And the silver bottom is a 510-threaded connection that screws onto a vape pen. A white, rubbery cap covers that.

Having examined all that, it was time to give it a try.

Smell and Taste

Attaching a vaporizer cartridge is pretty simple. Open the package, take out the cart. Remove the cap and then screw that cart onto the vape battery base. Press the button and begin vaping.

Now, puffing on a hemp cartridge always gives me lung busters. This was no different. I did cough a bit. Aside from that it does have a taste that I would describe as lemon-lime with a hint of pineapple.

And the exhaled vapor was rather lemony. The nice part about the fruity odor as it doesn’t leave a weedy aroma lingering in the air. That can be important if you desire discretion about your hemp use. The neighbors won’t smell hemp necessarily. Though coughing after repeated hitting may clue them in.

So then, after a hit or two what did I experience?

Testing Process and Experience

This stuff will give you a pretty good buzz. It really felt like a standard cartridge hit at first. The high itself seemed to dissipate after about half an hour. But the pain relief for my osteoarthritis lasted much longer. I’d say at least a couple of hours, which is about what straight canna does for me.

Personally, I think CBD effects last longer, but THCA gives stronger relief. This cart was more like the latter.

I started with one hit and then waited. Then once the effects wore off, I tried multiple hits at once. Like 2 or 3 together. While the initial effects were more potent with more hits, they still seemed to last the same amount of time.

So, is delta-8 really THC light? Sure, sort of. Initially no, it hits just like a hemp cart. But the high dissipated more quickly. I felt I could dose the vaporizer oil many times throughout the day and remain more clear-headed.

Final Verdict

This was my first experience with this particular cannabinoid. Overall, it impressed me! The packaging is simple but informative. And I liked the taste and aroma of the Rogue River cart. The effects are hefty initially, but the psychotropic buzz is relatively short-lived. What does seem to last is the pain relief. That’s a big deal to me. I’d say I also felt more relaxed and happier after hitting off this cart.

If you’ve never tried anything like this, I’d go slow at first. But if you like CBD or THC, you’ll probably like this hemp-based vape oil cartridge.

3Chi Delta 8 THC Comfortably Numb Tincture Review

0

Does the name of this Delta 8 tincture have you intrigued? Comfortably Numb, huh? Sign me up! All kidding aside, 3Chi’s tincture has a legitimate claim to this name because of its intelligently designed formula.

In this review, I share my first-hand experience using the 300mg Delta 8 THC tincture from 3Chi. I’ll cover important topics like its smell, taste, ingredient list, effects, and more. To start off, let’s introduce you to the company that makes this tincture.

Who is 3Chi?

The company was founded by a biochemist with 15 years of experience creating product formulations. And he pivoted into the hemp realm, to make CBD, Delta 8, and other cannabinoid products after he experienced the benefits of these compounds for himself.

And the name 3Chi was inspired by the Chinese word for “life force energy,” which is “Chi” (or qi). As for the number 3, it represents the three components of humans — body, mind, spirit. Clearly, this company understands the value of a holistic approach to healing, which reflects in its name and the way it makes its products.

Besides a focus on innovation, the company also partners with labs that are led by PhD-level scientists. Plus, 3Chi pay’s an independent third-party lab to test its products.

In addition to making Delta 8 tinctures, the company also sells vape carts, distillate syringes, gummies, and more.

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

3Chi made this dropper bottle black and opaque to prevent light or heat from degrading the oil. That’s the first thing I noticed and appreciated when I took this gem out of its box. Also, the labeling is awesome. It tells you exactly what you want to know in an easy to understand fashion.

For instance, it tells you the serving size is 1 dropper and there are 30 full servings. And in each serving (or 1 dropper) there’s 5mg Delta 8, 5mg CBN, 0.5mg CBC, and 1.3mg of the terpene blend. There are no numbers to calculate or math to do in your head, it’s all laid out for you.

Also, the label has clear directions for use, warns you not to vape with it, and even has a QR code. Once you scan this code, you’ll be able to read the results of the third-party lab testing. In addition, the bottle topper has a graduated dropper attached with increments of 0.25mg up to 1mg. The oil is super fine allowing you to easily “squeeze up” the amount you want to the exact marker.

Overall, the first impressions were fantastic.

Taste & smell

It’s hard to pin down the exact smell and taste because there are so many wonderful terpenes blended together. Here’s the best way I can describe it. Imagine all the tastes of the skittles candy coming together to form one amazingly delicious flavor and aroma.

Said another way, this tincture mainly has a sweet, fruity smell and taste, but there’s a zesty citrus element to it as well.

Testing process and experience

Before writing this review, I wanted to use this tincture for at least a week to see if I noticed any specific, repeat effects.

Since the formula includes an equal dose of CBN (the “sleepy-time” molecule”) and D8-THC, I only used this product in the evening. Sometimes I took it right before bed, while other nights I took it an hour or more before.

Because I’m a newbie to Delta 8 products, I started off with a small dose of 0.5ml at a time. I only increased it to 0.75ml during the last two nights I took it. Each time I dosed, I dropped the oil under my tongue and held it there for at least 30 seconds, sometimes up to 1 minute.

Over this testing period, I really enjoyed the tincture. I slept deeply throughout the night, completely undisturbed, and woke up feeling well-rested. The last night I dosed, I actually noticed some uplifting, happy effects. I felt a bit lighter and cheery, which may have happened because of consistent use. I’m not totally sure.

Either way, I loved the experience and will definitely continue to use this product until the bottle runs out.

Final verdict: A good night sleep is a few drops away

Yes, this is a bold statement to make. But, that was my experience with 3Chi’s Delta 8 THC Comfortably Numb Tincture. And I was only using the lower potency 300mg formula. This product also comes in 600mg and 1200mg strengths.

Besides getting peaceful, full sleep, I really enjoyed the quality of the product. It had a naturally smooth texture, great smell, and tasted pleasant. It pretty much has everything you’d want from a hemp-derived tincture.
